Like last year at the same time, ATV Lourdes has moved to the Maxxis Cup International Gouveia in Portugal.
The team posted eight pilots on the more than 300 participants from Spain, Ireland, Sweden, New Zealand and especially Great Britain. This test allows the top-class riders to prepare for the first World Cup on 11 and 12 April in South Africa next year, and to collect some precious UCI points.
To the delight of drivers, the weather was mild and very good atmosphere has been installed by an overheated public throughout the weekend.
The track is identical to that of last year, was fast and physical, with many areas of cycling, while having some technical background, with rocks, jumps etc..
The provision of Lourdes ATV was the most honorable. Since a very high plateau, including the current world champion, Arthur Quet ranks 61st and Ivan Enaff with a knee injury, 96th. For girls, Sophie Bordères located on the podium off with a very nice third place and Carole Armanet, when her, wins 8th place.
Less fortunate, Loïc Arnould, and Frederic Raphael Pomies Marcassus go near the qualifying 'and William Duclos injured his arm during workouts.
Once again, the team bike Lourdes, has shown a beautiful face to the north of Portugal.
