Pyr’Epic All Mountain Race presented by LOURDES VTT.
The Concept
The concept is simple, connect Pic du Midi to Lourdes over two days with an interval at Cauterets. The entirety will take place on the beautiful Pyreneen paths.
Why an All Mountain race? This format offers the rider a timed race with 2x the downhill that one could wish for. What LOURDES VTT would define as truly “All Mountain”.
Our Suggestions
PYR’EPIC takes place at high altitudes on a technical and at times isolated path. We urge riders to regularly practice high endurance mountain biking before signing up for PYR’EPIC. Weather can also play a decisive role in the stage’s required skill level. The starting lines can be found at an altitude of 2877m and 2300m, with another part of the race at more than 2000m. Even at this height, riders may be met with extreme weather condition. Please take this into account before signing up for PYR’EPIC.
Hybrid MTB Trial
